The Bridgestone 10×10 Festival of Short Plays

PBT Wants YOU! To WRITE!!
PBT is currently accepting submissions for its First Annual 10×10: A Festival of Short Plays. 10×10 will be held March 5, 6, & 7, 2009, at Belmont University’s Troutt Theatre.

10×10 is divided into three nights of original short plays with one night for high school, university and adult playwrights. Each play will receive a staged reading by professional Nashville actors and will be followed by a short response from a panel of local theatre professionals including artistic directors of local theatre companies.

Submissions must be received or postmarked by Monday, February 16, at 6:00 pm. Please fill out the submission form fully and submit along with a copy of your manuscript to this address:

Electronic submissions will not be accepted at this time. Selected playwrights will receive notification by email and/or by phone.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

Manuscript must be typed.
Manuscripts must be no longer than fifteen (15) pages. Please number each page.
Plays may contain no more than six characters.
Plays must take place in one setting.
Please do not staple or otherwise bind manuscript.
Please include title page with the following information:

Name
Address
Email
Telephone
Age & School/University (if applicable)
Title of play

Festival is open to any resident of Nashville (includes Metro-Davidson County and the surrounding counties) who is high school age or older.

Playwrights may submit more than one play. Knock yourself out!
There are no guidelines concerning content or subject matter, but be aware that each night will be age-appropriate.

This festival is NOT closed only to local theatre professionals. ANYONE can submit. You don’t have to be an actor, a director, or a playwright – we just want you to WRITE!!!
