A Brief Introduction to Navy ERP
Those of us that had worked in a paper only office understood the common difficulties that arose with a slow process and confusion of trying to get a project through several departments quickly. With the introduction to PC’s in the workplace we could see a rise in efficiency yet the transfer of data was bottlenecked due to the lack of being able to transfer data between departments.
Connecting all departments through Navy ERP
So what is ERP? ERP stands for enterprise resource planning which in very basic terms is a large type database that is connected by each department’s databases thereby giving each individual department the ability to transfer data between each other in a safe, secured, and speedy fashion. It is like a small web that takes the info from many different sources and focuses it to where it can be shared when another computer is connected to that specific database. Then you have open source ERP which takes it a step further so that ERP database can be linked with other ERP system, for example it would be like the Navy ERP being able to talk securely with the Army ERP therefore making information accessible to both large departments.
Integrated Business Management System for Navy ERP solutions
Many large sized companies have had to work with ERP developers like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft in order to streamline their operations such as open sharing among departments and the *Navy ERP* is one of many that have benefited. Since the recent transformations that have taken place in order to make the armed forces streamlined and more efficient we have noticed a boost in productivity and less overall confusion between departments. The Navy ERP system has taken all the guess work out of trying to find out where certain data is and which sub-department has it or is currently working on it. In an organization as large as the Navy an ERP system was an easy decision as it would lead to efficiency that would help substitute for the cost of the SAP ERP system and SAP ERP software.
